I'm trying to decide between umbrel and start9, not for bitcoin (already have alternate node), but to start self hosting. Why did you choose umbrel?
I liked the colours lol it seemed super straight forward from what I had seen.
Having now setup a lot of the features and apps I wanted on it, I can confirm it’s pretty darn easy if you’re in anyway technically savvy.
I’ve started small with a VM running Umbrel while I work out how what hardware I really need / want to run a bare metal version. Hopefully the migration from the VM to the new server will be straight forward.
