Chrome, or Brave should work, with the nos2x Extension to store you private key.

I have brave. I can't do anything except read. I am logged in with my nsec. Can not post a note, can not comment, can not do anything else. It's highly frustrating. I rather not download chrome but if that has a chance to make primal work better?

No, fuck Chrome, Brave is fine.

Here's what I would do if I was you.

- Open nos2X options, revoke all permissions related to Primal

- Open this brave settings page: brave://settings/content/all?search=cookies and search for "primal", delete any cookies related to it

- Refresh Primal, and start fresh

Thank you! But can you back up a second, please? I am not sure I have nos2X. Walk me through it or how to find it I do and how to get if I don't?πŸ™πŸ»

I think you'd probably know if you'd already downloaded it. It sounds like you likely signed in to Primal directly with your private key, by pasting it in to the Primal login screen?

Here's the steps you can take to get it setup with the nos2x browser extension, and hopefully fix your issues:

1. Open this brave settings page: brave://settings/content/all?search=cookies and search for "primal", delete any cookies related to it. This will essentially "sign you out" of Primal

2. Download and install nos2x extension from this link: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/nos2x/kpgefcfmnafjgpblomihpgmejjdanjjp

3. Right click the extension icon once its installed and open the options window. There's a "private key" field. Paste your private key there and save

4. Go back to https://primal.net/ - nos2x will start prompting you to authorise events (aka sign in)

... at this point you will hopefully be able to do all the things that are not currently working.

Hope this helps!

I appreciate your help. It seems like something is still off. I installed nos2x but I still can't post a comment or give a like and looks like my wallet disconnected. Now I have to remember what I had set up and how.

I can't be the only person experiencing these issues, am I? I know for a fact I am not. But why?

Can you tell me beyond the nsec in nos2x should I checkmark anything else that could be crucial?

I really don't think there's anything else, Primal is generally quite reliable and those above steps should be sufficient.

There must be something else wrong on your end, but it's impossible for me to make guesses 🫀

hardened firefox

I use LibreWolf as the browser for Nostr, using Nos2X-Fox (Firefox version of Nos2X), but anything Firefox-based and hardened to the nines will do the trick.

That's my little trick to get Nostr working in my favor, but as Owen said, Brave would work decently well, but won't be too powerful without uBlock Origin MV2 (Manifest Version 2) variant (like I have in Firefox).
