1) There is some logic kicking off once you start typing - perhaps checking against the API of your mastodon instance - perhaps remove your account and re-add it?

2) I think Ivory only lets you post if you ave an active subscription - it could be that Ivory on your Mac has lost connection to the subscription info - maybe do a Restore Purchases and see if that helps.
