This wasn't meant as yet another shot fired in the culture wars. This was a bit sarcastic commentary to UX. In all seriousness the signs should be descriptive letting you know what is inside and not prescriptive telling you who should use it. So one saying "urinals" and the other "stalls" would solve this issue completely without any friction, controversy or debate.

Really this is not about politics it is truly about good and bad design.
