Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil was tortured for refusing to worship idols. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his own faith. Both were then subjected to further torment before being drowned in the river. Their unwavering faith until death serves as a testament to the strength found in Christ.
