'Privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age."

I've been thinking about this concept of an open society a lot since 2020 because that's when society reverted back to a closed society. I'm trying to think of a way to describe this phenomena without pissing off the Uniparty. It's tough because people have so few face to face transactions nowadays that the concept of an open society seems to be a way of life people have forgotten.
