First: Banjarese - local mother tongue language (Has some root similarity with Malay)

Second: Indonesian

Third: English

my wife is ethnically banjar. my father in law speaks in banjar

Oh what a twist, love to hear.

"Urang banjar sakalinya bini wan mintuha pian lah. Salam haja gasan sanak kaluarga." (Your wife probably understand) 😄

my father in law translate it for me "Keluarga belah mentua brkirim salam kpda keluarga dn saudara mara pada keluarga sebelah sini" is that right?

Yes, more or less, the last part is like a greetings to your family there (You, Your Wife, Your Father in Laws)

"Urang banjar sakalinya bini wan mintuha pian lah. Salam haja gasan sanak kaluarga." is more like this "Oh, just found out that your wife and in-laws are Banjarese. Please, send my greetings for your family" 🙂

First: portuguease
