So now that I'm using a private gitlab server, I'm wondering how I would deal with projects that could attract contributers. Would I want to migrate it to GitHub where everyone else is or invite people to my server? #asknostr

Putting privacy and self sovereignty first sometimes has its downsides in the social sphere.

When I was deving I would use github for collab, but mirror everything on my gitlab. My commits went to both repos, and I added contributors commits with proper attribution.

My thought process was that if anything happened at github I could offer a .onion to everyone to access my gitlab and continue on.
