If ur entire interaction with using bitcoin involves custodial services from the fiat bank --> to exchange -- > custodial lightning service... How much are you really doing to change money yourself ? Start putting in the work to own your transmission stack, use your own node for on chain, use your own lightning node for zaps. Start doing the work to walk the walk! 😅 tools and people are out there to make this easier than you think!

I agree. One can do both! I do believe that zaps/nostr present an opportunity to proliferate the use of personal lightning nodes in p2p interactions and transactions, which is my hope for how the lightning network develops.
