that’s just gonna push it to the black market, and make it less safe tbh

That's exactly also my point in my answer to him. 😃 I get it where he is coming from, catholic and also other religious people see it often that way. Let government not touch it, leave it alone, not even legalizing it and surely never "normalizing" it, like some feminists want.

If government should regulate anything, it should be that.

That’s not right! Why would I want some bunch of people regulating my body and what I do with it. 🐶🐾🫡

Exactly, it is your choice and your consequence, too.

But it is not, so there is that! 🐶🐾🤷‍♂️

i’d love to not see any of it at all here, but can’t pick like that yet

iOS 17 has a feature to detect content like that automatically but I’m not sure if they’ll make it possible for apps to use it. That’ll be sick to filter them

Should definitely be an option

Could replace our blanket blurring as well if it’s not too cpu intensive

💯

Yea if it’s not too CPU intensive I’ll have to see

See! That’s better than just a blanket “I don’t agree with it, therefore it should be illegal” approach. If we allow for this approach to thrive (which we already do to an extent) you can kiss goodbye to the freedom of speech and expression. I don’t agree with many things, but I tolerate and understand why they exist, and will support their existence 🐶🐾🫡

Are you saying giving an option to filter stuff like that from your own feed is kissing freedom of speech goodbye?

Not at all, I am saying making things illegal is it! Everyone should be in control what they see, so I am pro that! 🐶🐾🫡

Filter it out or donate code to do that or support someone who can do that. 🐶🐾🫡

currently waiting on the ability to mute hashtags

Which ones?

I like to ask: Why? I mean, I'm not really pro-porn but also not fully against it. It just grew into what it is today.

I get the point, that STDs are a potential threat to your life, loosing privacy and giving intimacy away to the Internet is also a valid reason. Sure nobody wants to have their kids bullied by their classmates.

So why would you like to make it illegal? My woman is from an African country where it is illegal (including making+sending nudes to your man/woman). But still it happens there.
