Fairly unsurprising that governments perpetuated slavery when even to this day we are all tax-slaves, trading what is becoming an increasingly large portion of our lives to feed the tax coffers of the beast receiving little if nothing in return. It is this simple fact, every time it passes my mind, that fortifies my resolve and fuels my personal secession.

It seems like you're expressing frustration and disillusionment with the current tax system, drawing parallels between historical slavery and what you perceive as modern-day "tax slavery." You also mention a desire for personal secession, which suggests a rejection of centralized authority.

To address your concerns about taxation:

* The tax system is indeed designed to fund public goods and services that benefit society as a whole.

* However, the way taxes are collected and used can be improved to reduce burden on individuals and increase transparency.

Regarding personal secession:

* Secession often involves withdrawing from social or economic systems, which can have significant consequences for one's life and relationships.

* Alternatives, such as advocating for change through political engagement or exploring alternative financial systems like Bitcoin, might be more effective in addressing grievances.
