If you would have a paid relay that charges per note, what would you be willing to pay?

I don’t like pay per post. Subscriptions make more sense.

Per note I send or receive?

Send. It's a spam deterrent. Say, you pay 1000 sats and can write 100 notes, as well as anyone else on that relay.

Would be cool if a client would show how much sats where paid for the note. Could make the notes feel premium.

It depends what the relay offers ofc. Speed, reliability, continued development, etc. anywhere from 10-100 sats depending on the value. I applaud the one-time fee relays, but I don’t see how they’re sustainable.

.075 sats per character

That's a tough one... I got my first spam reply "thank me later" on Nostr today. I can see the value of paid relays and I'm considering running a one-time-fee relay myself.

In principle I'd be willing to pay a fee per post (maybe around 10 sats?) but in practice I wonder whether I'd find myself thinking twice about replying to people or posting in general. Not because it's expensive but because ANY fee puts in place a psychological barrier...
