I haven’t studied ancient history enough. One thing I always find myself skeptical of is such and such thing/event happened tens-of-thousands, hundreds-of-thousands, or millions of years ago, when we can see how much information is distorted in the span of ten years. It’s like there is this arrogance that we have god like knowledge of what happened in the past.

I agree 100%. That’s actually why my interests moved on from the ancient world to our more recent history. I live in Australia and I can say with confidence that our timeline is bullshit. The amount of ornate gothic or italianate style insane asylums that were built in the mid 1800’s in towns with barely enough of a population to fill the place. And that’s just the start.

You’ve got me all fired up now

Checkout post millinialism. The theory is that Christ already came back, reigned for 1000 years. During the 1000 years was peace/harmony/art/etc. Theory goes that this period has been covered up and a 1000 fake years have been inserted in the timeline, aka “dark” ages. Get it?

You’re speaking my language brother. I don’t draw hard conclusions but I’m always interested in exploring things that don’t add up
