this home used to have a primo mid century modern interior, with an original conversation pit, spiral staircase, and beautiful architecture.

now, it’s basic and ruined forever. an absolute travesty. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/35-Arrowhead-Estates-Ct-Chesterfield-MO-63017/2745732_zpid/

nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m do you know if there’s even any homes in stl with conversation pits still?

There are definitely homes that still have conversation pits. Some might have platforms built over them to cover them. They can be found. I don’t know how much STL has in the way of mid century modern housing stock though.

Saint Charles has many

i know there’s a lot of random ones there, but do they still have the original interiors you think?

I couldn’t keep looking at all the wood painted white. 🫣 I really dislike when people don’t consider the architecture of their home when decorating and renovating. You can be bold but still be sympathetic to the original architecture.

it’s so jarring to see. especially considering how much they sold it for with that interior. they massacred the unique traits.

it doesn’t even match the exterior of the home, it’s so lame

Well I hope the new owners bought a lot of paint stripper too.

The property itself is pretty sweet. You could redo the flipper grade bathroom and kitchen to ones that work better with the age of the home over time. Add color and life back into the home. But no matter how well you strip those railings there will be tiny flecks of white paint in the pores of the wood showing someone wronged them.
