I was first stuck with the idea that the drawings were Georgian or Armenian, but indeed it makes much more sense that these are Siamese or Laotian. Pretty lit!

Yea, an interesting store of value from that Lan Xang Kingdom. From what I understand it wasn't day to day spending money but more likely used for larger religious/ceremonial/social payments.
