Let me tell you the truth about myself. When I enrolled in university to study rug art, I honestly didn't know what is that?As I continued, instead of liking it, I had hated it. It felt very boring to me because I considered myself a cool and fun person, and I had imagined studying a more mainstream art form, like painting or perhaps sculpture will be better. One day, my teacher assigned a project to investigate hand-knotted rugs, which rugs were common in the cities of Iran. I researched Nomadic and Rural rugs (Now this is my style) and met a boy who gave me a book about nomadic carpets. Gradually, I became interested in rug design. After I graduated, I started creating designs for rugs and participated in exhibitions. Carpet sellers and companies offered me opportunities, and some of my works were woven and exported to Germany and other countries. I used to be a hater of rug art, but suddenly I became a rug lover. After 15 years, when I looke back on my past, I realize that everyone who came into my life showed me new things. I promised myself to showcase rug art wherever I could and to talk about the ancient and historical Iranian art form. I really enjoy my work and feel proud to see others impressed by it.
