it certainly doesn't belong in the kitchen
it's useful in laboratories but quartz and borosilicate glass and silicon oil are more important, it's in general in labs a replacement for more expensive materials.
Very cool. Well maybe one day those materials will become less expensive and they'll stop using teflon.
