Yep it takes a few days to finish.
So that's normal with 1gb internet?
Yes your not limited by your internet, your limited by your SSD, CPU etc. Your node is validating every single block. That's why it goes super fast at the beginning and then gets slower. The first couple of years the blocks are mostly empty of transactions then start to fill up.

I'm at 53.33% as of right now! Indeed days! Lol
It only gets slower.
Day 3 69.74%! Lol
I feel like mine took a week. So you're basically right on pace for that it seems.

If you're not aware, this is a great place to get incoming liquidity for your lightning node. Basically you get three or more nodes that will establish channels. You create one with someone who creates one with a third person and that third person creates one with your node. It can more than three people, but it works the same way and you still end up with still just two more channels. Once I hit my stacking goal in cold storage, going to start building my node out again.
