OMGosh that's such a genius plan, how didn't I think of that?!!! It saves so much trouble, especially with YouTube vague community guidelines and the stupid copyright claims, not to mention the horrible ad experience and censorship.. the strikes.. Omg.. How can people endure that platform.. 😩
If you’re building a sovereign creative workflow, YouTube isn’t just a risk. It’s a trap.
If you must use YouTube (for reach), host the full video off platform and link back to your own domain.
YouTube is where people discover you.
Your domain is where people experience your content without surveillance.
Post a Short Teaser or Excerpt on YouTube
- Upload a 1–2 minute trailer or highlight clip
- Title it clearly: “FULL VIDEO at [yourdomain/your-post]”
- Put your site in the first line of the description
- Watermark your domain on the video if needed
This turns YouTube into a traffic funnel not a content host.
Why It Works
- You own the content, the analytics, and the viewer experience
- You’re not feeding your viewers to Google’s ad engine
- You’re not getting flagged or demonetized for content that doesn’t fit Big Tech's terms

More to come for Creators to actually own their own content this July

Creatives never consider privacy and security, they are too busy building. Why I'm going to spend a whole month on the topic to educate.
