It is a new thing under the sun to have individuals with massive followings producing content that centralized sources used to produce. There are trade offs that we accept with this new movement to decentralized information. As such, we have to continually innovate how we have relationships with the individuals we get our information from.
There is a spectrum of complete parasocial Andy, all the way over to skeptical-close-minded-never-trusting-anyone. I think we all exist somewhere on this spectrum with each information source. It's up to us and our trusted friends and family to suss out these relationships, they constantly evolve.
