Imagine a world where you can't buy anything without the (implied) consent of the state, where every transaction is recorded and stored forever in a database that the government controls.

A world in which you could be forced to buy things the state favors or be excluded from those the state doesn't like.

A world where money no longer buys freedom, but is a means of total control over your every decision, action and movement.

This world may be closer than you think. Big brother is watching, and this is just the beginning:

I think we've lived closer to this for much longer than we think. What's impressive is how much freedom our overlords grant us. They'll only show their power if challenged to such a level. It's coming.

Well, our "freedom" was so cool because we were their closest, obedient, and civilized servants, like the slaves who make up their beds, brush their hair, and serve dinner. But look at the slaves that are further away from their eyes: africa, south and central america, china, india, vietnam, cambodia, ukraine, illegal US immigrants, to name a few. And there are many more of them than there are of us.

During one of his recent speeches Putin mentioned something about the golden billion (I assume referring to the 1st world countries). I do not remember his exact polite words, just a summary recorded in my brain: fck your golden billion, you're done.
