You might be able to use inkscape instead. Go opensource

I'm awfully tech-challenged...

is it a web based program?

Hopefully I get a chance to learn more about it because I am not going to be able to work on my artwork for a while due to health and day-job "issues," but my ultimate goal is to dedicate myself to my artwork as full-time as possible!
