Read good things about SeaFile.

My family needs 4-5 TB and hopefully it'd be something secure, encrypted and FOSS.

But curious to know what's your advice here. Appreciate your time 🙏🏽

4-5 TB is tough. For less I’ve run nextcloud on Umbrel and Start9 and it’s pretty easy. I assume for that large of storage you almost need a NAS of some sort right?

Make sure to use a RAID storage and ideally backup the backup. Drives will fail sooner or later.
