I think it will happen organically as we form communities (whatever form that they take).

Fiat rules won't be respected.

Laws will be agreed upon that are aligned with Bitcoin laws. I think fundamental to that is the ability to opt in & out of this new system. It has to be a choice, it doesn't mean there won't be a cost though.

I think the fewer laws, the better.

You would need to be rules on how to interact with the fiat world.

I think you'd probably need to establish some sort of way to settle disputes (some sort of court).

We’re gonna need a new system then

Or an old one, updated :)

what of existing law, badly enforced and broken, do we adopt and how?

How to leave a broken justice of system without abandoning the justice?

If laws arent enforceable or enforced, they're not really laws. As the existing system fails it's laws won't be respected. What fills the gap is going to vary with each region.

I think generally, the size of territories will shrink. I think the laws of these territories will reflect the values of its inhabitants.

Justice would be achieved in small courts. I'd expect most disagreements to be originating from the alleged violation of property rights. This is the origins of common law.

These courts could be established long before the existing system crumbles. This would aid in cooperation & maintaining order while chaos ensues outside the territory.

I've been reading more common law and contract law.
