Ah. We bought a new seedling basically and on year 2 trees were damaged by typhoon. Then someone trimmed them the wrong way because they had no idea what they were doing and didn’t have permission. I’m hoping next year will be even better. 50 is a lot!! We’re in super warm and humid climate here and last year the trees grew a lot but I think they can easily double in size still.

Growing fruit trees is the height of low time preference reward. I sold house in Spain and moved to Costa Rica and hope the new owner is enjoying it. Lime, lemon, avocado and oranges and my guess is 2 years after he bought the place, he was giving fruit away. Still worth it 100%. I have trouble thinking that he’d remove any of those trees and I really looked after them. Wait till next year. Patience has rewards with trees but don’t be frustrated with the journey! Am doing the same now to be honest. Built house. Realised not what we want so just bought new plot and doing it again. My finger lime, lime and lemon trees out front should start fruiting next year… after have moved on!
