I hear your intent, but I personally am very selective of who I follow because, if I'm willing to skim through 1,000 things I don't find interesting, then I'll just go to the global feed. My "followed" feed is for the individuals whose opinions I find consistently insightful/valuable, and I don't want to add people where I consistently find myself simply not caring about their perspective/input. And that's the beautiful thing, is I can choose to sift through a toss-up of interesting or uninteresting content, or I can retreat to my "followed" feed for the stuff I know will stimulate me.

I say this as someone with a tiny following, but for me, to follow more than 100 people is unmanageable.

Thanks, you've pretty much described my approach...👍

Having said that, it would be nice to have ways to nuance the 'follow' concept...

Maybe a ranking of those I follow, with some kind of percentage weighting?😁

You follow 9 people. That's fine. At least you're interested in reading other people's content. But to follow exactly zero people is douchy. It tells me someone has too big of an ego.
