I just helped my son transfer his sats to a new Lightning wallet. He says in an incredibly serious voice "I hope I own one full bitcoin some day." πŸ₯Ή

That determination is priceless! He is on the right track. It starts with one Sat and ends with a whole Bitcoin. πŸ’ͺπŸš€

He's annoyed that we can't get 1 sat out of Wallet of Satoshi. He's like dad that's going to be worth a dollar someday, we need to get it out of there.

I talked to my kid about seed phrases. When asked what’s in his stuffed sloth’s head, β€œmoney”.

If you don't honor the Satoshi, you're not worth the Bitcoin. That's the right way! 🫑⚑

You seem to have a very clever son. πŸ’―

Amazing. That kid is going places!

How old is he?

Just turned 14.

My oldest is 15, and he had muun wallet installed where we stacked some Sats together. After loosing his phone he wasn't able to recover his wallet anymore, because he can't remember his password πŸ₯Ή

I hope, he learned his lesson πŸ™

Don't forget they are still kids and self custody is something to be learned, sometimes the hard way.

What? You didn’t teach him to write it down?

Of course, I told him to go through all the backup steps. But kids in this age basically sometimes doing the opposite of what parents saying. Education can be expansive in many ways πŸ˜‰

First thing he needs to learn is how to get a hardware wallet and then a password manager 😁

Oh wow. Sorry to hear that.

My kids both had Muun and have recovered their wallets themselves with the recovery features.

Good for your kids!

Our goverment banned the usage of Bitcoin as payment method for anything. So, eventually ppl needs to use fiat money. Also just look at the constant value lost of TRY against BTC. It’s impossible to stack sats in this environment, especcialy for a student.

I need to get out of here!

I think he can do it πŸ«‚πŸ’œ

I dunno. It's going to soon be impossible for average people to own a full coin.

I wish him this success πŸ™‚ anyway

I genuinely wonder what the world will look like in 20 years when the children of today's bitcoiners have grown up and come to expect bitcoin to be the main form of payment. Will be cool…?

Agree. He's used to creating invoices for chores and converting some of his fist from his dog walking job into bitcoin. There's going to come a time where a lot of people deman to be paid in Bitcoin.

Nice. That way he can really see his β€œfruits of labour” as they don’t diminish over time (screw fiat inflation, official 11.5% where I live :/ ). Cheers!

By the way-does he have a tool that automatically transfers some part of money daily to a Bitcoin address? Or how does it work? Is it automated somehow?

What a moment 🧑

L'avenir appartient Γ  la jeunesse ! Apprenons leur la vie privΓ©e et l'indΓ©pendance !

This afternoon I sent first few sats to my mum and she was excited but also confused at the same time because she couldn't understand why did I do that and what's my benefit out of it.

Eh, she'll understand enough eventually. We don't all need to know how the sausages are made. Just that we like sausage!

Post your sons lighting address. I think the community may help him get one step closer…

Good luck to your little man - 500 sats on its way!
