I never felt owning a home making me successful, more free and sovereign but more so all the opposite. Yea there’s some extra comfort in guaranteed place to sleep every night even though a long term rental is almost the same. But questionable as a trade off for dealing with regulations, taxes and multiple governments in large. Let’s not forget the on going costs for repairs and maintenance.

There is a unit complex that multiple tenants had had break ins. One had a watch taken from the Bedside table next to their toddler's bed while thwy were all asleep in the unit.
Body corporate had decided not to let everyone know as they didn't want the value of their units to go down.
