On topic of scary movies, my trick is to look down slightly, or partially block screen with say my knee or a finger (casually), so nobody can see I'm scared

I regulate the fear level. Mostly just hate the jump scare

I prefer the psychological horror movies. No jump scare but the fear stays longer. Not saying jump scares are bad but I prefer the other type.

That’s why I prefer psychological horror. Creating a proper setting > jump scare
