By IP? I was considering doing this too. I'm just limiting total number of messages and events from each IP.

I do rate limiting by kind and pubkey with Nosflare.
The biggest issue I ever saw was with REQs from Bostr lol.
I have req limits too.
I already log IP buy it's not IP specific. A potential improvement! Might be semi easy to implement.
