The MLB trade season is approaching, and several top players are rumored to be on the move. Three players who may be traded before the 2025 season include Dominic LeMahieu, a second baseman with a .215/.282/.325 batting average in 69 games; Alec Bohm, a third baseman who went from being an MVP candidate to struggling down the stretch; and Ketel Bichette, a shortstop who is a year away from free agency.
LeMahieu, 25, has been considered one of the top prospects in baseball but has yet to fulfill his potential. Rebuilding teams like the Athletics, Marlins, and White Sox may be interested in acquiring him. The Brewers could also be a fit, given their need for a third baseman.
Bohm, also 25, has had an up-and-down season, struggling after a late-season injury. He is two years away from free agency and may be moved to make room for Alex Bregman at third base. Potential landing spots include the Yankees, Blue Jays, Royals, and Diamondbacks.
Bichette, 27, has struggled with injuries and inconsistency this season, but he remains a valuable asset. A year away from free agency, teams may view him as a potential bargain. The Giants, Guardians, Rays, and Padres could all be interested in acquiring him.
