Yep. There was zip zap and other services of the like where you would fill out a bill form slip , hand write your address and pay for it. And 12-36 hours later hopefully bitcoin showed up at said address. You never even knew the exchange rate🤣🤣 I remember zip zap, the green gorilla 🦍 service? Wallah? Around same time as mt gox , but wiring money as an American there was very difficult till the end there also. I wasn’t “in the space” I was just addicted to online poker. A bit better🥹 but honest to god, those bill form lay for BtC services never stole a penny from me. I remember the gorilla having an abrupt closure of business, but they didn’t hold btc for you anyway. Oh my how we’ve grown🧡🌹⚡️
