I rarely eat at restaurants these days but this may have just become a new casual-date-with-the-wife location 🐂🍟

This needs to catch on. We need more seed-oil-free restaurants.

There are lists of such restaurants but those restaurants are few and far between.

Most of our meals are homemade and we primarily cook with tallow/lard, butter, and coconut oil. But it would be nice to have more options for eating out.

And it will obviously be far better for folk who eat out regularly to be consuming healthy fats.

I’ve never eaten here but that’s awesome news! The nearest location is five hours away. 😖

Unfortunately, like everything else, the fine print ruins it. The tallow is loaded with some kind of additive that keeps it liquid at room temperature, and the fries are only "finished" in this tallow at the restaurant.

Yes, discovered this more recently. The potatoes are previously processed in seed oils by the distributer that Steak'n Shake buys them from.

Baby steps. Overton window moving in the right direction.

For now, I'm sticking with homemade tallow fries using clean ingredients.
