there is a reason i didn't put threema in the good section of my messenger tier list

i might need to make a new "worst" tier just for threema...

they are a paid + centralized service, who promote FUD about federated messengers https://threema.com/en/blog/federated-vs-centralized

somehow, they are worse than signal, and if you know me you know how much i hate signal

simplex actually is pretty much unmatched in terms of anonymity

but for practical use, the multi-device situation is pretty bad, and there is only really one main "client" that being the official app

i don't know much about delta chat but i actually have it installed (or maybe arcanechat) i definitely need to take another look at it

i've taken a look and deltachat is great, maybe even top-tier

plus arcanechat (a deltachat client for android) has games and takes crypto donations (including monero!)
