yeah, i have heard stories second hand, i had a friend in Amsterdam when i was homeless who was seeking asylum, his mother was ukrainian i think, and he spent 8 years trying to get dutch citizenship and they kept on rejecting it and eventually deported him to ukraine... literally just about a year before the war started there

fortunately he was definitely too old and with his replacement hip, the only concession he got from the netherlands government, there's no way he would have been conscripted at least not to a battlefield role (he was a programmer, always talking about Haskell) but the last time i had contact with him he was behaving very strangely like he knew it was me but he was pretending it wasn't me, it was very weird

so yeah, why did he have a replacement hip? because the russian police beat him so bad they broke his hipbone, and for some time he was barely able to walk

and most likely the reason was because he was part ukrainian, and idk what this travel blogger has to say exactly, i don't really have the time to watch it, well, maybe i will, but i've heard my own stories, and experienced my own near fatal experience with bulgarian police, but there is some evil shit out there, all of the governments are full of demons
