Story time:
Yesterday I showed up at the coffee shop that enabled bitcoin. I had text the owner ahead of time and he said it was enabled. I showed up around 2pm.
I asked the girl if I could pay in bitcoin. She looked at my like I was crazy and said “uhm… I don’t think so?” I said “it should be enabled.”
She looked down and said “oh! Here it is!” And just like that she pushed a button and the QR code popped up for me.
I thought this was huge. The owner didn’t train her. She had no idea what I was talking about. And yet Square made it so easy that she was able to handle it no problem.
This isn’t some complicated way of paying in bitcoin. It’s simple and seamless.
