Is it true? Are the bees dying? Surely someone has had a bad luck but is it the whole US? It seems to me the article is trying to paint a picture of "food is going to be scarce and expensive this year because [insert reason], but definitely not because of the kleptocrats printing money.
Then again I am not a beekeeper, nor do I live in the USA so I know nothing.
Maybe, maybe not... Hopefully some beekeepers can chip in and let us know :)
Pesticides perhaps?
I have no idea to be(e) honest but I’m curious about the validity of the report given the number of Nostr beekeepers but I’ve seen no mention of it here.
So it could be pesticides, maybe a disease, maybe climate or poor reporting, anything is possible I guess. That’s why I ask.
Yes 'colony collapse disorder' is old news, most probably pesticide use or growing weak bees.
I have heard this story for 50 years. Not gonna worry about it this time.
