Rather than planning a big negative-ad campaign now, the push is intended to organize previously disparate efforts to mount legal challenges to third-party campaigns’ attempts to get on ballots, and to research the candidates’ pasts.”

What this is saying in lament terms is the party running on “Saving Democracy” is doing everything in its power to keep opponents off the ballot in 2024.

Instead of winning the race fair and square, the Democrats are trying to give themselves an upper hand and win in 2024 through rigging the election in their favor.

For a party that has preached the importance of election integrity since 2020, rigging the election to favor your party is a bit ironic.
