Iron slugs you mean. Get a magnet and check it out. Barely any copper in any coins anywhere. You know why? Too expensive.

You have to be selective with coinage

I think most savings should be precious metals, not random local coin

But I also like US nickels - worth over 5c in metal value already & naturally hedge inflation, deflation, revaluation, & financial collapse
