Every time I come across ‘zap’ used in a context other than nostr, I send a mental cease-and-desist.

That’s funny!😄 I see it as a good thing. I would hope nostriches would encourage this though. I now think of zaps as lightning Bitcoin, not just applicable to nostr. I hope in the future we say, “zap me some sats!”, Instead of “Venmo me!”
Ah, but I mean in a non-Lightning related. For example, Zapier calls their formula “zaps”.
