New “police” type covers sternal nock to xiphoid process,inside mid clavicular,panels that cover the upper half of the kidneys

There are attachments for all that. At your own cost of course.
But I have cargo pockets that carry: BP cuff, IR thermometer, stethoscope, shears, tape, light, pen, sharpie and kerlex. Lower leg pockets with tourniquet, chest seals, and hand sanitizer.
Are you prohibited from using a different rig? Could you not invest in better armor?

Point Blank (maker of both) says the new one is better and offers more protection.
I have to believe they have some idea what they are saying.
It is more that it makes me look like a cop in places EMS is treated nice and cops are not.
That and the obvious wearing of the BA screams “headshot”.
I would be asking my coworkers to complain with you. If enough people are unhappy, then things tend to change. They should allow you to supply your own as long as it exceeds their standard and can have their patches/ logos displayed.
