Freedman meant well, I believe. But he was wrong about that. He was also wrong about the (now totally debunked) Khazar theory of Ashkenazi Jewish origins. Freedman's great contribution was his exposure of the secret Jewish managers of US administrations from Woodrow Wilson to Franklin Roosevelt -- he had been a member of that group himself, before finally defecting from and exposing the Jewish power structure.
