If governments wage war on social media, then a populace with distributed pockets of attention is its worst nightmare. Independents voices with an audience coming to the same conclusion without the possibility of mass censorship makes them afraid.

This means we need many more voices with many more audiences and many more ways to become immune to getting silenced.

Sovereign Individual Thesis is in play.

What's held me back is the thought I've some very unpopular opinions in the bitcoin space. The thought i'd have no audience.

But this hits hard.

I'd better empty the tool box and get on getting on 👍🏻

i agree ☝️, but this also needs a foundation of education. we have to learn from each other, give honest criticism, and accept suggestions in good faith. without that, we get flooded with information and misinformation, and things can spiral. in the worst cases, when a government collapses, the same pattern shows up:

misinformation spreads -> people lack filters/maturity -> chaos and confusion -> strongman emerges ("I have answers") -> tribal loyalty forms -> disenters attacked -> authoritarianism

so, yes 🫡 we need more voices, more perspectives, and more people building immunity to being silenced. discussion to achieve consensus.

Not concerned about misinformation. The more voices you have the closer to truth you’ll be. What you will have disinformation from is government propaganda and paid shills.

that makes sense. that way, we can build a strong foundation by sharing many perspectives, becoming resilient against any propaganda. and also, always listen to and ask your little heart. it will never lie to you
