"Talking about the CIA. I don't think it's in their interest to invent something like Bitcoin because what Bitcoin does, if you imagine the government now has a lot of control over your life because it controls the monetary system, right? So when they print money out of thin air, they're essentially taxing you by making your money worth less. And they control this whole financial system.
Bitcoin flips that on its head and says actually nobody controls the money in the Bitcoin system. Now the ability to print money out of thin air is a hugely powerful tool for the Federal Reserve and the government. They are not going to give up that power lightly. And I don't believe they would invent something that would remove that power that they have. I don't follow the logic with that.
So I think that the sort of theories around, is it a CIA-controlled sort of sneak attack? If you do enough research, I think you can discover that that's actually extremely unlikely."
