I'm still on #umbrel v0.5.4 because it's on a Pi4 and I heard the upgrade to v1.0.0 was painful.
But now I'd like to move to Knots + DATUM, so I (think I) need to bump to v1.3 (or later).
My questions are:
1. just how painful is the move to v1+? any tips?
2. will my AlbyHub connect OK to Knots?

3. WILL MY NEXTCLOUD FILES BE SAFE?
If you have space you can run both, but a PI4 is not really good for that. All config files are on your SSD not on the microSDXC UHS-I try it if it works you are fine if not just put your old microSDXC UHS-I back.
After update, you have knots replace core there is no way around this if you have no space.

Put the update on a fresh microSDXC UHS-I min 16 GB and simply change it. After a short time the update should be done. Knots must do his Sync by itself, so no way around this. Alby is fine with Knots.
Does knots replace core or do I run both?
If I run both...two versions of the entire blockchain? I don't have diskspace for that...hm
