It is but I have to use the wallet built into the app.

Can't I just zap a podcast creator the same way I do on Amethyst? Just tap the zap button and choose the wallet app I wanna zap from.

Ohh that’s a good question and over my head. Maybe #[4] knows

I don't know of any off the bat other than stuff on zappit, but I've heard lots of people talking about replacing these apps with a Nostr implementation

Yeah I boosted the Nostr implementation just a few hours ago. Looks pretty good tbf. Once it's integrated into Amethyst it'll be much better for V4V.

I keep saying zappit, I mean Zapstr.live πŸ˜‚

And Vitor actually got that to work in Amethyst! Comments on media there shows up in the feed now, and you can copy the event string and share media there that plays in the client.

Of course he did, I wasn't even joking cuz I know Vitor is going in on media integration, I have no doubt the first Nostr client to support Nostrcasts will be Amethyst. Any new feature, Amethyst is on the bleeding edge!

It came up in a comment one morning when a reply to media Sleepy had posted showed up on the feed and nobody could read the note. Once folks realized it was from Zapstr, they were on it. Somehow Keiran had it already set so Snort showed the cover art and a link, but then in less than an hour Vitor had a new apk up with full in-client media streaming, and was asking about how he could expand it and allow background playing. It moves so fast!

He's long overdue for a proper generous zap for real. He's the best client dev in the Nostr scene right now. Will give him a big zap before EoD.

I drop him some decent zaps when I see him put out updates, I don't even know how they love so fast. I know he has a small team, but damn. And it's not sloppy work either, the UX is some of the best in nostr.

Fr, I can only imagine he does the UX in advance, then once a service implements the NIP he adds support (mostly just checking for the right metadata in a note) and starts compiling the prepared UX code into Amethyst.

Either that or he just has a team of big brain supercoders because putting out a polished UX for a brand new feature in a couple hours would be mental.
