The US shot itself in the foot by kicking Russia out of SWIFT, thus forcing them to transact in other currencies than the USD.

Other countries still need Russia’s energy, and thus also now need to transact in other currencies than the USD.

Now even Japan has capitulated. A crisis of our own making
