Chapter 1 & 2 of Genesis

Chapter 1 is the creation of the world. Six days of creation. On day six God creates men and women. Then he rests for a day.

Chapter 2 is the creation of Adam and Eve. It's generally believed that this is just expounding on day six in chapter 1, but are we sure?

What if God created humans, rested, and then decided to set about creating a special family of humans?

Cain kills his brother Abel. Cain is cast out by God. God puts a mark on him so that other people won't kill him. Wait, what other people?
