GrapheneOS is the play, de google your phone. Apps from F-Droid or apk direct download instead of google play

Yes, take a look. It is much easier than it used to be. For Graphene it is browser based so it is plug and click. Browser and prompts take care of everything. If you can get an old pixel try it out first before making the switch.
