Any phone is a surveillance device. The important bits are using a browser that does not allow tracking like Brave, and email via non-google system like Protonmail. Use simplex or signal and avoid all Facebook anything and you are 80% there

Getting rid of Google takes a lot of intentional work. I’m still pulling together all the parts to replace them.

Any more details? This is super important stuff.
